2 DAYS, 1 NIGHT – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK & NGORONGORO CRATER
DAY 1: DEPART TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK & A FULL DAY GAME DRIVE
Pick you up at the hotel in Arusha at 7:30 am, and depart to Lake Manyara National Park (a 2 – 3 hours drive) with your packed lunch boxes. On arrival, go for a full day game drive until early evening.
This is a small but very beautiful park offering breathtaking views, excellent game viewing and an incredible array of bird-life. You have a chance to spot zebra, baboon, warthog, giraffe, impala, elephant, hippo, wildebeest and the rare tree climbing lion.
Late in the early evening, you’ll drive to Ngorongoro arriving in the late evening for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge (lunch & dinner included)
DAY 2: DESCEND TO NGORONGORO CRATER FOR A GAME DRIVE & DEPART TO ARUSHA
After an early breakfast, descend to Ngorongoro Crater (The 8th World Wonder) for a game drive with your packed lunch boxes until afternoon!
As an UNESCO World Heritage Site the crater offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting ‘The Big 5’: Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. For the latter two you need a bit of luck as they tend to shy away. Approximately 30,000 animals live on the crater floor!
In the late afternoon, depart to Arusha (a 3 – 4 hours drive), arriving in the evening, and transfer you to the hotel/catch your flight back home (breakfast & lunch included)
