Tanzania Safari Circuits

Tanzania has three main safari circuits, namely;

 The Northern Circuit: This is the famous safari circuit which receives a lot of tourists than the other two circuits. The circuit constitutes the attractions of Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Arusha National Park, Oldupai Gorge and the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro to mention a few.

The Southern Circuit: The second visited circuit and less crowded than the Northern Circuit. Though the circuit does not receive a high number of tourists as that of northern, the attractions of the southern circuit offer a more remote wildlife experience in a very unique setting that provides a sense of an African adventure. The attractions of the southern circuit include Ruaha National Park, Mikumi, Saadani, Selous Game Reserve, Udzungwa Mountains, Kitulo National Park and Isimila Stone Age Site to name just a few. The islands and beaches (Zanzibar and Mafia are also classified as the attractions in the southern circuit)

The Western Circuit: This is the less visited circuit, and it comprises of the attractions like Katavi National Park, Gombe Stream and Mahale Mountains, the latter two are famous for their only specific experience and attraction – the chimpanzees. Trekking the chimps of Gombe Stream and Mahale Mountains is a magical experience. The circuit also offers the beautiful beaches on its world’s longest, second deepest and least polluted lake, The Lake Tanganyika.
